Out of Hours
If you have an Out of Hours emergency you can telephone our normal number and this will give details of how to contact the Emergency service.
We work with a superb Out of Hours specialist centre called Vets Now. This is a dedicated service, where the staff have not just finished working a full day and so are fresh to see your pet. These vets and nurses train especially to deal with emergency cases and so it is very similar to you or me going to A&E .
Importantly the vets at this practice are paid the same whatever they charge you and so there is no incentive for them to charge more, unlike some larger Bristol practices.
If your pet requires ongoing care, Vets Now will provide me with a full handover including the results of any treatment and investigations. This allows us to maintain continuity.

The clinic is based in Brislington and by day is the PDSA Clinic and by night Vets Now. The drive from Clifton is approximately15 minutes.
DIRECTIONS
FROM THE PRACTICE
Late at night go down Park St., around the one way system and head over Bristol Bridge. Follow this straight on up to the roundabout that takes you onto the A4 and head for Temple Meads.If Traffic is busier you may be better following the road out past the BRI and down past Cabot Circus onto the A4.
Go past Temple Meads with the station your left. Keep on the A4 bearing left at the junction with the A37 and follow the road round towards Brislington. Keep right just after the Burger King (which is on your left) and then continue about 500 yards. You will see a sign for PDSA on the left. Take this left turn. This takes you to a set of traffic lights so that you can double back down the dual carriageway. The clinic is about 100 yards from these lights next to the Air Cadets Building on the left and just before a speed camera. The PDSA sign is more obvious than the Vets Now sign.
FROM M4 JUNCTION 19:
Exit the M4 at junction 19 onto the M32 towards Bristol. Exit the M32 at junction 1 on to the A4174 outer ring road. Follow the A4174 around Bristol and at the roundabout with the A4 turn left towards Bristol City Centre. Follow the A4 passing the junctions with the A4174 continue past where the road splits, Vets Now is on your left.
FROM A37 SHEPTON MALLET:
Follow the A37 towards Bristol and at the junction with the A4174, Callington Road turn right. At the “T” junction with the A4 turn right heading towards Bristol City Centre. Continue past where the road splits, Vets Now is on your left.
